Bad Night Becomes Win For Los Angeles Galaxy

Landon Donovan perhaps put it best after the match was over and the Galaxy had scored twice in less than 10 minutes.
"There are nights throughout the year when you don’t play well – and we didn’t play well at all – but it’s important to find a way to get something out of the game," Donovan said.

Galaxy victory, and even he seemed stunned by the final result.
"To be honest, after the way we played if we would have gotten a point of the game I would have been ecstatic," Donovan explained. "To win the game is pretty remarkable, but we’ll take it."
Unlike the Galaxy, who are headed to the playoffs with a bullet, D.C. United are all but out. Perhaps, however, this helped focus a team to play better for pride.

David Beckham, who played more minutes than last week, appears to be on the injury comeback trail.
"We can't expect to win every game easy," the veteran pointed out. "D.C. came here tonight and they played with the freedom that they’ve got this season and they made it a hard night for us."
Though not directly involved with either goal, Beckham helped the Galaxy open up space for attacks in the second half. Looking back on the match, however, Beckham agreed that the Galaxy had an off night.
"I don’t think our passing was great and our Bears jersey
